Do you even recognize me? I don't. Halloween seems to be a big deal in here. We have a week off from school, which basicly means dressing up every day, partying around. This week I've been transformed into a vampire, a pumpkin, a dead bride and tonight is the big night... I'll be dressing up as some freaky doll. My head feels like the moon after using so much make-up. The day after tomorrow I'll probably walk around with a green mask to purify my skin and two slices of fresh cucumber.
After almost two months being abroad my friends starting to miss me too. Friend and blogger Lisa took the airplane to visit me. Together we visited many restaurants, (art) musea, shops, flea markets, parties and pubs. We walked around, spending our money, taking photos and talked, a lot of talking. She made my week 7 complete.
Week 6, a busy and exciting week! First I went to Portrush in the United Kingdom for a surftrip. Surfing and swimming in the Atlantic Ocean and spending my time on the beach for three days long. Enjoying campfires and hot showers afterwards and eat homemade sushi for dinner. I went to the concert of AlunaGeorge (which was like a piece of magic) and I won tickets for Disclosure! My heart for music is bouncing again. I moved to a different house and it feels so much like home. I made the photos on a flea market. 6 weeks later and I'm finally settled down. I'm home.
Last week I met a very inspiring person, a photographer from Poland. He's busy with a project about Dubliners and their stories, outlined in four words. We started chatting and since I'm a 'real' Dubliner now I got my change to participate in his project. When was the last time you got your belonging and went to a place that you've never been to and don't know anyone to live there? According to me it's people and their friendliness when it comes to the biggest asset of Dublin. I'm only starting my way trough the world, not literally but also metaphorically. (Bytheway, finally a change to meet my new haircut.)
I made a trip to Galway last weekend. We visited the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher, a fairytale. Galway is a village with a castle, a forrest, a lake with swans, sparkles of the sun and an old-fashioned tower. We fantasised about dragons and princess, we laughed and walked for hours. We sailed the Atlantic Ocean and looked for whales and dolphins and the story ended with a sunset from the harbour.
