It's good to have some quality time with best friends. Having a coffee near the fireplace, crunchy nachos and pizza with red wine. I promise, a helpful cure against coldness.. Or wearing three sweaters and two jackets, which I did on the photo Team Peter Stigter captured of me (looks a bit chubby, though). Blogger friend Lisa dared to wear her cut-out boots without socks! What do you do to keep yourself warm?
Dennis Diem and his beautiful opium dream... While I'm dreaming of one of his designs as the perfect wedding gown. His collection is inspired by the movement of smoke. As Arthur Symons once said, 'I am engulfed and drown deliciously. Soft music like a perfume and sweet light, golden with audible odours exquisite. Swathe me with cerements for eternity. Time is no more, I pause and yet I flee. A milion ages wrap me round with night. I drain a milion ages of delight. I hold the future in my memory'. Black, purple and white, loosely and tight. Slipping models, dancing, dresses that float around their bodies.
And then all of sudden, it was time to say goodbye. I came with a new mindset, a new outlook. Maybe I was once that girl that cared way too much. Now all I care is one of the happiest times in my life. The best way to cure my 'homesickness' is to spend my money on new clothing. Right? I visited COS, Topshop and the flea market and I bought a lot.. A leopard belt, two necklaces, leather gloves, two jackets and a pair of Levi's Mom's jeans. Time for changes! I'm currently redecorating my room and closet. Can you believe I gave away sixteen garbage bags of clothes? Sixteen! I feel relieved, fresh.
Sometimes I have moments of realization. Realizing how crazy the fact is that I'm living this little live in Ireland. That's why I decided to spent my last week doing nothing but crazy things. Last afternoon we took the train to Dún Laoghair, a small village at the East Coast. Cozy pubs and eating fresh fish for dinner. The next morning, at 6.30am, we woke up in our hostel. Way too early, but for a good reason though... To look at the sunrise from the beach! It was beautiful, obviously. Tonight it's pizza with beer and movies time. I think I can feel some tears coming up if I think about going back home and saying goodbye. All good things comes to an end.
A couple of hours before the 12-o'clock-moment I was running through the city to find the perfect outfit for New Years Eve. I stumbled upon this simple purple dress and decided to go for it. After all it was on sale and only €9,-. I wore it with a long necklace, burgundy nails and lipstick and black cut out boots. I'm thinking about sewing lace on the bottom of the dress to create the 'finishing touch'. Now tell me, how was your night?
