I'm writing this with a cup of hot tea in my hands and the sound of the wind, flowing to my window. The sound of soft guitar music is coming trough my speakers and I'm wearing socks made of wool. I was looking trough some magazines while sipping from my tea, when I found Weekday #5. A couple of weeks ago Weekday opened a new store in Amsterdam. Back then I picked up their new magazine which is full of inspiration from their new collection. I realized I never looked at it when I came home. But here it is, ready to be shared at my blog. I specially love the Cheap Monday pieces.

Last Thursday it was time... Time for the Vogue's Fashion Night Out in Amsterdam! Everything in between fashion was present: couture, cocktails, designers and music. What a night! There were different fashion shows and designers such as Iris van Herpen and Erik Frenken showing their new collections. We also went to the vintage pop-up shop, where you can find the most beautiful treasures from Chanel, Alexander Wang and Givenchy. Streetstyle photographer Otto van den Toorn made the pictures below.
We met designer Jan Taminiau and walked with his - ridiculous high - shoes at the mini-catwalk (see photo above!). What an experience! After that we went to the FOAM / Unseen Studio for another shoot. Balloons all over the place!
We also met designer Bibi van der Velden. We tried some of her pieces on and she captured our moment with her camera. Besides that, we ate the most delicious sushi and chocolate I've ever tasted at the chocolate fountain from Australian Homemade. At the end of the night we received a handkerchief from Tommy Hilfiger. And this was only a little impression of the night. There was so much.. Too much to do! I already looking forward to next year.

Throwing trees in the campfire, dance around with a bottle of champagne and hitch-hiking to the big city.. I already miss summer (did you noticed autumn starts in only 10 days?)! Last night I saw Pirates of the Caribbean again. Oh, haha, it made me think about a vacation in France two years ago. At one night a friend and I pretended like our canoe turned into the Black Pearl. He supposed to be Johnny and I was Keira. We sung songs within 'drink up me 'earties, yo ho, yo ho'. A good night, for sure. I wouldn't bother sailing the oceans with Captain Jack Sparrow. Anyway, enough about that. I bought new items last weekend! I'm showing you only two items, the rest comes later. First, my long-expected Jack Daniels-tee and a new bracelet-with-spikes-thing. What do you think? I would have been that kind of pirate who drunk JD-whiskey instead of rum, I think.. Haha.

After some serious rainy days the sun came out. I'm enjoying the last-late-summer-in-September-days on my rooftop. And on sunny days like today I love to eat salad. This is my all time favorite; melon, dried ham, rocket, walnuts, mozzarella and just a little balsamic. Very simple, but very delicious! Bon appétit!

Today my first day at school started. God, I just can’t believe how fast last year went by. It’s almost surprising. Kinda sad tough. I feel like I do to much things. So much that my mind can’t keep it up. I've got the feeling I grow up way to fast. Like I'm missing a part from youth. And sometimes time scares me. If time keeps running this fast, I’m an old lady before I've even noticed. I see it happen with a lot of people. At one moment of life people suddenly starting to realize what they've done. From that moment you see people changing their lives. And I’m scared the same thing is already happening to me. I’ll graduate in only a few years, get a home, get married, get kids.. You know the package. I don’t want to see people fading away around me in the next years. Fading is a part of time. Sometimes I only see my life like the way it is now, just perfect. I want to keep it this way. No changes. (Photos were made in the photobooth at the Zalando Party Collection.)

At Thursday I joined the Zalando collection party to celebrate the latest pieces from their autumn/winter collection. In the heart of Amsterdam some beautiful rooftop was filled with beautiful, feminine, minimalism clothing. I have to say that I was very surprised! Shoes, leather bags, long coats, tasty cake-lolly's, music from Géza Weisz and Dio, bubbles and a lovely view. Loved it! You can clearly see Zalando was inspired by different cultures from the 1960s. The most fun part of the evening was the photobooth, where you could take pictures with funny elements. I'll show them later! I would like to thank Zalando for this inspiring night. You can check out their collection here and let me know what's your fav item! (All photos by my and my +1.)
